I love this game. The art is so well done, and there is such a wide variety of images to look at! I found myself looking forward to each scene, never bored. I'm especially happy to see no AI was used in this game. It's also very well written, the prologue immediately hooked me and was such an interesting look into a very unique mindset. Jayce feels like such a well developed and fascinating character, and one of the things I'm most excited for in future updates is seeing how he continues to grow and change as a character.
If there was one thing I would really want from this game, the thing that would turn it into a no question 5 star game, it would be more choices in the MC POV that allowed the player to change how MC acted/reacted. I really liked the options in Part 1 that allowed you to bring out the MC's more shy/insecure side. I really missed these options in Part 2. While I liked MC's personality overall in Part 1...Part 2 was a bit hard to get through just with how MC treated Jayce. I know MC apologizes at the end of the night, but it was honestly a bit difficult to get to that point for me. I really wished there were some options for MC to show annoyance/anger/hurt in different ways (ex: pouting/silent treatment), or for MC to be less bold/aggressive in some scenes. I like that the MC does have a strong personality, but sometimes it just feels very overwhelming, especially when they're being very mean.
I personally have no issue with the grey stand in for the MC (I think it was very well explained at the start of the game), to me what I'd much rather have focus on is choices to influence the MC's actions/reactions in some scenes, with options for players to focus on that more unsure, insecure, less aggressive side of MC if they choose.
And if I could ask for a second thing I really wanted....it would be the ability to remove the large spider print from the wall of MC's bedroom. It triggers my arachnophobia ;v; Gorgeous room but I avoid looking at it because of the spider print.
Overall a very good game and I'm glad I bought it! I'm looking forward to seeing how everything develops.
