This is a retro game done right. It takes heavy inspiration from the gothic setting of castlevania, and has amazing music, and really solid gameplay. There are only a few things that need to be ironed out, such as the tendency for your swings to simply just... not register. The game still feels 80% of the way to becoming a proper retro game, and it is hard to believe this was made for a game jam.
