This VN hides some neat narrative ideas up its sleeve and is more than it seems. I must admit it caught me by surprise by how unconcerned the narration was about some things that seemed more dire to me, but in the end it all clicked into place.

The highlight of the story was the relationship between the two leads, and the toying around with their power (im)balance. I'm a sucker for a setup like this story had and seeing it grow and change over the relatively short story was engaging. The recontextualisation of the entire thing at the end makes looking back at some of Faolan's actions both sweet and eyebrow-raisingly amusing.

The presentation is pretty simple, but I liked the range of Faolan's expressions, the selection of background photos that fit the mood, and the very few original illustrations and edits.
