You can invent a strange sad little woman who has something wrong with her. and then stick her in a room with a bunch of other strange sad little women who also have something wrong with them.
And then see if they can manage to solve a mystery or something. or kill each other.

This game is so good for diving into a character's emotional state. It's got elegant, efficient rules for what characters fear, what they believe in, even their weird little habits. The way traits work in this game, you can hardly optimize an investigator without giving them some kind of weird little personality quirks. characters in this game have personality whether you want them to or not.

It's also a good mystery game.
 

I promise the two expansions do not represent the tone of the game. It's mostly a very serious noir horror game. but there's a running joke on the discord about hot monster girls and it kind of got out of hand.
