Goddess-of-Gales rated 3 Seasons

A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android.

This was such a charming visual novel! The idea was so interesting that it had me invested right from the start. I really appreciate the amount of detail and thought that was put into the setting and lore, as that was my favorite aspect. I found the idea of an organization that is responsible for overseeing the four seasons fascinating and I was so curious to learn more about it as the story progressed.

I loved the character designs and art, including the backgrounds! They
complimented each other and the writing well. I chose Yuto's route and I think I chose correctly, because I simply adored him! He was so kind and considerate to the MC and I definitely felt a connection growing between them. However, at least based off the intro, the other two love interests felt a little too similar to me in terms of personality if I'm being honest, they just didn't stand out to me as much as Yuto did. Though I didn't dislike them so much as felt indifference. I'm sure their routes delve more into them as individuals, but at least during the introduction, I didn't feel like I had a good grasp about what their personalities were like. And speaking as someone who
is more drawn to personality than physical appearances, I wasn't all that encouraged to play through their routes honestly. Of course, this is mostly subjective to my personal tastes.

More objectively speaking, most of my complaints are more nitpicking things that are easily fixed with editing. For example, there were several mixups between dialogue and narration. I also feel the narration tends to overexplain things and would've liked to see more focus placed on character interactions and dialogue. The narrator doesn't need to tell things to the reader that has already been shown to us, as this makes the writing feel redundant, slowing down the pacing of the story. If "telling" the reader doesn't present any new information, there's no point in including it as it's only distracting from the more immersive "showing" elements. For example, telling us what sort of expression a character has on their face, when we have sprites to show us exactly what sort of expression the character is making.

But overall, I feel the story was detailed, well told, and easy to follow, full of descriptions that appealed to all of the senses that helped immerse me into this whimsical world. Despite my criticisms, I am glad I took the time to play this one as it has an interesting premise and I could recommend this to any otome
fan, especially those that like a little whimsical mystery added into their romances. ♥
