The best way for me to describe my experience with this game is akin to playing out the duel between the Dream and Lucifer in the Sandman. This is no spellslinging or out-rolling with better stats. You are out-defining the challenge with existential grammar. 
Be ready to push the boundaries of what you consider to be normal human language, you are portmanteau personified, meaning is as you make it.
