Misfit Games rated Gamma Emerald

A downloadable Gamma Emerald for Windows.

I really want to like this, but so far the glitches have been an overwhelming part of the experience. So I start the game, get a Torchic, realise I can't change my move order and there's no command memory, win the battle and pick up the free Pokéballs and Beldum after a text box that got stuck on the screen finally finishes 3 times in a row...
The Beldum also has moves it cannot legally have, and afterwards I notice my Torchic is gone. Initially it looked like it was replaced with Treecko, but I can't view the summary of it or anything. I decide to carry on because Beldum's a fine starter, and it's higher level anyway...only for the game to freeze after a wild Psyduck acted twice in a row. (Somehow using Tail Whip, despite Clear Body preventing stat dropping moves from working on it)

Also, the options menu...it doesn't seem to consistently save what you select. Only way I could get it to save SOME of the changes I made was to change my resolution, back out, go back in and change my resolution back to 1080p. No idea why and at this point I'm too scared to ask. (I think it requires you to get into the game itself to save anything, but then it refuses to change the graphical settings if you're in-game)
The EXP all option makes catching a full team a bad idea. It gives a message for each member, so it slows the game down a lot. I'd suggest sticking to the official series' method of just saying "others got some xp"
Sometimes trainers can glitch out when sending another Pokémon onto the field. I had an instance where I gained 7 levels and she kept sending out more and more Numel for every level I gained. I could not interact with the menu that was clearly visible as this was happening.
Wild encounters can also just fail to load an encounter, causing you to softlock.
If you fill up your team, make sure the first slot in your box isn't full because otherwise it will delete the next thing you catch. Lost several Pokémon to that.
Last main complaint: You might want to adjust the volume of the recovery sound when resting at camp. It's...REALLY loud!

Plus sides: (Will add more as I go)
-Visually stunning. Genuinely wish more games used this artstyle, and it works wonderfully here.
-Naturally since this is based on Hoenn, it's got some great music.

Neutral statements:
-You level REALLY fast! Honestly, this feels a bit like cheating, I don't have any real reason to grind because anything will shoot me up 3 levels and then I'll be 8 above the next trainer. I wanted to catch stuff but this might discourage players who want a challenge. Me? I'm just happy to be here. (But that could be because the trainers jump levels too, blimey! From 3 to 18 in 3 minutes!)
-The encounter rate is stupidly high! This is great since it makes finding something easy when grinding / looking to catch something, and the grass patches are usually out of the way, so you have to go looking for a fight. This is a neutral statement for now since I don't know if this will be the same in caves/surfing.
