TheLonely7 rated Melatonin Magiks

TheLonely7 rated a game 1 year ago
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android.

Episode is complete.

The story is okay, with the story featuring animations. The story seems to focus on comedy? and makes constant references to other media. The grammar is great(10-15 misspellings/typos). There is also a decent amount of missing punctuation at the end of sentences I didn't count. The scenes are decent. The scenes while being animated, suffer from a lot of clipping of hair, clothes, and body parts. The animations also didn't have any sound. The game has music.

No walkthrough should be needed as the game is pretty straightforward. Although there are small diverging paths for the scenes, the gallery unlocks all paths after playing just one so you won't really miss scenes if you use the gallery or save before picking a path.

Overall I rate the game a 3/5. The game jumps into the scenes really fast and due to this the story is kind of on the back burner.  Having animations for the story and not just for scenes is a nice touch but like I stated above the animations can have problems and look a little clunky.

The game has 4 parts currently. So, hopefully at the very least the animations have improved over time.
