So I thought this was actually going to be pretty dull at first, considering the beginning. Then it gets pretty interesting. However I do think that the premise is a bit flawed, despite being interesting.
It doesn't really make sense that they would invite MC to join this seemingly exclusive resistance force considering he doesn't really have the skill set and he is a completely random person. They only invited him cause he needed a place to stay. Also he chose the join their group despite how suspicious it all was and he wasn't told anything about it before he said yes. This is just strange.
It does seem like there is something special about MC considering the dream sequences, but I am pretty sure the rest of them don't know about that. (Or maybe they do? That would be quite the twist, but it would explain a few things. Maybe they know more than even MC does.)
Also thought some reactions MC had to certain things was kind of weird. Like he doesn't seem to question why Max hates him so much and he didn't seem to care much that he basically got shot by Benjie. Regardless of the fact that Benjie only meant to hurt him as much as he did, it's still an extremely violent and aggressive introduction to someone. It would be like if I walked up to someone I didn't know and bit them really hard to draw blood and then we become friends no questions asked. I get that MC is a bit timid, but even during monologues, he didn't question or think about it much and he doesn't seem more wary of them.
Also think that it's a bit of a missed opportunity to have multiple routes (Max, Benjie, Oswald, Dylan) considering the MC is seemingly a self-insert. That would be a lot more work though, so it's understandable.
