Personally, I'd say it's a 7.5/10 after a 2nd run. Stuck between good and greatness. World building, backstories and character writing that swings with the best the visual novel genre can offer. With a lot of leeway for player control and dialogue(though character customization could have used some work).
It's held back by the small scope of the main plot and central location with two antagonists, each marred by under utilization or just plain one note & boring. It feels like a game thirsting to burst with out into something grand, but forced to scale down. With an honestly rushed ending.
But it's hard to leave on a sour note on a game with so much to offer. Great game. Had a blast. Can't wait for the sequel.
