Cliffbound is interesting but feels undercooked a lot of the time. Uneven prose, confused imagery and odd ponctuation are a couple of the many small ways playing this feels like playing a first draft.
The story itself also bears a couple of issues in my eyes. The one choice the MC has to make is robbed of a lot of weight and drama by one of the options being so obviously better. There are attempts to make the "worse option" seem like the hard choice the character has to make for the good of others, but I was never given proof within the story that it is indeed the case; I found it's mostly tell and not show. And that last point is further strengthened when picking the "better choice" leads to little to no real repercussions I was led to expect from the previous set-up. In addition, the fact that both Love Interests are barely explored as characters, further gravity the drama when it comes to the protagonist making the choice.
I'm personally not engaged with the Omegaverse community and its works, but with what little research I did in mind. I found its inclusion interesting here. Some aspects of this genre touches on include gender roles and agency which are very much explored here. In a way, this could be easily retooled into a heterosexual narrative, but by making Omegaverse key to the story's central conflict, the author gets to play with readers' preconceptions (heh) of words like "King" and "Prince." I'm not too jazzed about the use of the words "Alpha" and "Omega" (somewhat breaks my immersion), but it is a small remark.
All in all, I found Cliffbound is interesting but especially flawed. It's one of those kinds of projects where small things pile up and weaken the experience. Thankfully, I lot of it can be mended with simple tweaks and I could see a better version come out of this with just a little more polish.
