I was struggling to find a game with a neurodivergent character when I was introduced to this game by a friend since it features an "all-autistic cast" which is just what I was looking for. Unfortunately this game is a very short experience because it's unfinished and for all I can tell, abandoned. With that being said, this half hour experience with was still an enjoyable one.
The story follows the player joining a new school and on the first day, you are overstimulated by its crowded halls and escape into the nearest quiet room where you stumble into the Botany Club. There are two club members but only one of them is available for you to interact with, which I was further disappointed by that character not being my preferred choice. But alas, she was still a good character. The rest of the game involves interacting with this club member by talking to them, becoming friends, and helping with the Botany Club chores.
The dialogue wasn't particularly great, especially some of the humor. It gave "fan fiction" vibes if that makes sense. But it was still tolerable. I think the biggest feature I didn't like was the minigame as I struggled typing in the correct keywords and ended up cheating with using plural and non-plural forms of words until I got enough points to progress. I enjoyed the concept of the minigame but it's execution needed more work.
I would recommend this game to those interested in its art style, representation, or want to experience some niche itch.io published projects.
