Raven rated KLEIN v.0.1

Raven rated a game 1 year ago
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

I wish this game had a comment section.

The story itself seems interesting, and aside from the boob-like chest of (some of) the men, the artwork is good.

The first ending I ran into was a completely and utterly RANDOM death from causes unknow. (A weird ghost maybe?)
It made absolutely no sense.
And as far as I can tell all it does is force you to save someone I could not care less about saving. Least he becomes a vengeful ghost. WOOoooOOhh~

(Sorry, but it just doesn't mesh with the rest of the game. The lack of logic really bothers me.)

If I live to be a million years old I will still not understand human guilt...
I realize it may be normal, but it never stops to annoy and confuse me how much guilt the MC in some games feels. For the dumbest things.

And then you get stuck around the one character I have zero interest in, and tried my hardest to ignore. *Sigh*
I guess that's the punishment for saving a boring do-gooder, even if there was exactly zero options to just let him die.

Then you get roped into investigating something I have no desire to investigate. (And yes, I'm pretty sure the suspicions are correct. But why would I want to stop my darling?)

I so, SO wish I could have left him to die... *Sigh*

I like exactly two people in this game, and I hardly ever see either one.

Considering that no matter what I decide to do the game steamrolls over my decisions and do the thing I refused to do ANYWAY, I don't feel like you HAVE choices in this game.
...which makes me reconsider calling it a game.
A game have choices after all. REAL choices. Not just some fake pretense of it.

In summary:

Klein and AI are both really cute.
But you just don't get the chance to talk to them as much as I'd like.

Your colleagues are kinda...meh.
They're okay. But nothing special.
(In my opinion. I'm sure someone will like them.)

The nurse guy annoyed me from day 1, and the worst part is how much time you're FORCED to spend with him because the MC apparently likes him, even if the player do not.
And you keep getting him pushed on you, no matter how hard you try to avoid it.
I guess some people like nice guys.... I am not one of them.

The forceful pushing and lack of real choices is the main reason why I gave this game a low rating.
The characters and the rest of the game is actually decently well-written and well drawn.

If this game was on Steam, I would probably buy it.
(I wouldn't bother elsewhere tho.)

I do look forward to it being updated, because I hope to see Klein again, and see what happens with the cute pink-haired guy. ^_^
