Pretty interesting and fun story, but I felt like after the first half the story sort of lost its direction and I was running around putting out tiny problems in the kingdom, like leading a five-person ambush on a fraction of Zong troops while they were conquering cities, or taking numerous decisions regarding the Lowats who seem to have a too low population to matter in the grand scheme of things. I felt more like a cop than a politician/high-ranking general.

Also, the story got confusing by the Yellow Springs episode. There are many characters using several names each, and the dictionary can't really be searched easily if I want to know who is "Administrator Dou", "Unifier King" or "Retainer King" or what their relation is to other characters. Ideally mousing over a name/nickname would bring up a description of that person and what they have done in the plot so far. Speaking of yellow springs, why didn't I die when there was an earthquake and I was chasing robbers underground with the corridors filling with sand? Magic?

Finally, I felt that my romance with the princess was going nowhere, even though I chose to maximize romance content and chose to be with her when I could. Maybe she isn't into women, but she could at least indicate that somehow?
