mermaidblues rated Going Live!

A browser game made in HTML5.

The art is pretty to look at, very beautifully made. The concept is interesting - I haven't really played many dating sims where you're already in a relationship with the LI

If the creator would welcome criticism, I have laid a few points I think could use more work below. Otherwise, best wishes regardless, and thank you for the experience.

I don't have problems with twists and bad endings in VNs, but the ones here lacked depth. Felt a little cheap. The narrative could use more work - perhaps more foreshadowing so that the bad ends don't come off as abrupt as they did. I also was surprised that the aspect of his viewers sexualizing him had no payoff - I half expected that melons chat member to turn out to be a stalker. The parasocial aspect again, no payoff. I found that odd. Maybe there are plans to utilize that in the future, but I'm giving my impression from what I saw here.

The fourth wall breaks to advertise were a little grating. I wouldn't have minded it happening just once (it can even be charming, like, look, a callback to this other game!), but when it happens multiple times (I'm counting the cat asking for ratings in this as well) then... it cheapens the experience, in my opinion.

The GUI for dialogue is not that great. The prompts for the player dialogue should stand out more from the regular subtitles. As it is now, they're the same style, it can be difficult to figure out if I'm meant to click it or not at a glance. That's my advice on that.

There were a few instances of variables not working (like displaying [influencername] instead of the contents of the variable. I'd advice to check those lines. I think it was the day 5 that had that issue.

Best of luck to the developer, regardless, and good job on the work you've already done! Thank you for sharing the game :)
