fantastic, heartfelt- it's a joy that a visual novel like this returns to the soul of the medium- a simple menagerie of characters, relationships, and choices of unknown importance. Unless the devs actually add action mechanics, action scenes in a faltered string of narration just doesn't work. that's why this, with no interactive action scenes, but plenty of intimate and thoughtful writing, with sparse bits and dense bits, works so well. Characters aren't over-explained. there is no rush to know all of who a character is, and you probably won't without a groundhog's day event. That makes it more organic, though. you can absolutely act in a way that lets you get to know characters' pasts, or focus solely on their present and future. well done, and I'm excited for more.
