After playing this game for hours and after dying over and over from the enemy encounters, I've hardly even reached past Day 3 and beyond due to how unforgiving the RNG is when it comes to encounters and managing your rations. Most of the times I've played the game, I always got a game over via bursting from the enemy encounter, and never anything else than that.
However, after discovering save scumming to get the luckier roll possible, surviving in mid to late game is manageable compared to the starting phase, due to how useful you can manage your infection AND increasing your max fill by buying one of those elastic items. This is unless if you've found a ton of batteries and have access to both the lab and the juicer.
The only thing I wish that should be implemented is to tell the player how much of the stat it'll increase, decrease, and the hard numbers of your stat. I can't tell how much fill it increases before bursting most of the times, and the stats hide whenever you explore around the area which makes me started guessing.
Another suggestion is that I want to know how much fill it increases when sleeping. Because you'll be skipped straight to the game over screen without directly showing or telling the player that they exploded after sleeping lmao.
My main gripe of playing this game is that the enemy encounter is very unforgiving, which ruins a lot of my runs that doesn't focusing on saving (I like to keep it ironman in my run). There were a lot of my run where I got a lot of food and rations, and everything ended with the enemy encounter. I just couldn't do anything against that.
Overall, pretty frustrating experience, but when you get the luckiest run known to man, mid to late game is a breeze after the player knows the location to the lab and the juicer. I just wish the 4 hour time skipping doesn't screw me over, and I also wish you can wonder in different places where you have higher chance to get the desired item instead of the bunker or one of the lab as well. Like if I want to get more batteries, I want to go to the area where batteries are common, but the area is contaminated similar to the bunker.
