I came into Brambletrek as a late backer, but as soon as I learned about the game, I was sold!The Gnawborn folk and their world is wondrous! The game creator has given us a great twist on classic classes, which I think makes them more interesting. I love the way this game uses playing cards to guide your journalling adventure rather than dice. My Gnawborn, Meria Moonsong, has had a rather unfortunate journey thus far, but her spirits are still high! Learning this game was easy and the tables are really well thought out. The book is well-written with greatly detailed imagery and events. All of these things make the creative writing juices just flow once you've got your day played out. 

I was really drawn to this game of theirs in particular because of multiple reasons: 1) It's a solo game. I'm very easily overwhelmed by a lot of rules and a lot of mechanics that requires a DM and multiple players. 2) It's family friendly and teachable to younger children. 3) I love writing and have been wanting a way to get back into it. 4) The playing card aspect really intrigued me. 5) The artwork is fantastic and the Gnawborn are just so darn ADORABLE!!!

Crossed Paths also has a wonderful Discord community where you can meet like-minded people playing their games and also ask for help, should you need it. I am so grateful to have found this company and their games.
