After downloading this game for the first time I really liked the warm and comfortable vibes it was giving, but it tends to fall into overly trope-y territory. The character writing is solid, and the aesthetic is 100% on point
My biggest issue with this novel is what happens in chapter 3. it is just a MASSIVE departure and, while humorous tends to make the entire thing feel like a joke that's gone on too long. I can appreciate drawing inspiration from media you enjoy but as a reader that shift is just far too jarring and completely out of left field, especially with things growing more serious at the beginning of chapter 3.
Other than that, some of the dialogue is pretty clumsy and clunky, once again falling into this overly trope heavy archetype and many of the scenes with the player character being mad at the hunters and the admiral try too hard to come off as intimidating and end up kinda cringy
I understand some of these things are probably a bit harsh, but I did truly enjoy reading and playing this novel. I like it when VNs utilize gameplay aspects instead of just being a click to proceed "game" and I did thoroughly enjoy the content in chapters 1 and 2 for all of the potential love interests. The game has lots of thought and care, a strong foundation and a very pleasing visual style.
