star_stuxx rated Killer Chat! Original Edition

star_stuxx rated a game 1 year ago
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Love love love this game, although I've left a prior review where I rambled on, I am back to ramble some more. Quick thing: I kinda referenced some bits in the game, so that might (?) be spoilers, so just watch out (?)

Absolutely love this game, I don't ever shut up about it, many of my close friends know this, as when I played it, despite none of them being online, I was consistently sending screenshots or huge blocks of text of straight-up ranting on about the scene.

kind of spoilers for dialogue lines(proceed with caution) for Ronin unfortunately (since I kept as much of the spoiler rant I could on the jam review area since more people on there are more likely to be JUST seeing the game versus finishing and reading reviews after):

If you liked Ronin in Killer Chat and haven't played Gluttony Gods, you should definitely check it out. Especially because his entire story comes through really nicely! It helps out for the small references, for example:
-Ronin quoting the Bible at some point in the server
-Something about him asking (semi-mockingly but it's okay we still love him) 'You're seein' me. I'm screaming good Christian boy to you? Bless up.'
-Devil references in his character (design, AND personality)
-"I had... someone... once."
These all are some of my favourite bits from the game, that mostly (to me at least) reference Gluttony Gods more! If I'm not wrong however, the game Gluttony Gods is NOT exactly Ronin's backstory since the supernatural bits, but it has most of it in there. You'll also (Yay!!!) not have to solve the puzzle that stumped a lot of people, if you already know his name from, you guessed it, Gluttony Gods!

Aside from the obviously amazing character designs and plotline, the voice acting is top-notch! I loved all of them, even the side characters' ones! Was very happy when playing Gluttony Gods to find Ronin had the same (? I think so at least) voice actor! Each of them nailed their roles perfectly. Both the voice acting, and what might be a huge selling point to some, the amazing chatsim feel and features, were perfect.

Only complaint I'd have, was the fact the game was too good for me to put it down and I ended up getting reeled in for more playthroughs to see other dialogue options. Immaculate game, even if the genre isn't your typical cup of tea, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE try the game out!!

Whoever reads my large block of text that is (supposedly) a review, I appreciate it :D
