A short and simple RPG that can be cleared 100% in just a few hours. Main plot path is simple but bonus bosses can be challenging and push you to strategize well, only had a single game over yet quite a few moments of panic. Dungeons are fairly simple but get enough to make each feel distinct.
I liked the rite mechanic. Each party member has a rite gauge that fills up with each action they do or have done to them, kind of like a super meter in a fighting game, but defending is the fastest way to build it up. When you have enough you can use that character's rite attack.
Your characters have some fairly obvious synergy that's still satisfying to put together, take a few seconds to review the effects and conditions for each spell you have.
Also the rephrasing of common game elements was a nice touch where it was still clear what things translated to in typical RPG terms.
I enjoyed the story. The main cast and even random NPCs all have fun dialogue, but there is a sense of doom looming over the plot, if you like characters doomed by the narrative you'll like this.
This really digs into the esoteric side of Greek and related mythologies, the average player can expect to encounter mythical figures and versions of their family trees they're unfamiliar with. I had a moment of realizing something that surprised me had been foreshadowed using mythical connections I knew about.
There are a few minor issues around the late game side content that currently could do with a quick fix. Nothing that interrupts progress but it is noticeable.
