Beek - Familiar Spirit is an odd game, to be honest. Starting with its weaknesses: it's clearly designed as a phone game. Pretty much all of the game is just simulating a text message conversation, including pauses for the text messages to be sent. While the PC version has "skip mode" available by default, the game still can take a while to read through despite essentially being a novel, just due to the delay between the "text messages" being sent back and forth.
In essence, Beek - Familiar is an Isekai story, but without you being the protagonist. Sort of. You're the one that the protagonist (named Beek) is texting with across worlds, and you help guide Beek through decisions he has to make by asking him questions and giving him suggestions. This approach is novel, but does end up working against the story for most of the runtime. There is a sort of "dating sim-esque" series of choices between the two main leads that accompany Beek, named Veeph and Akro. But, because you're separated from those characters, you don't actually get a good handle of their personality beyond what Beek tells you. The other two major characters, the Glutton and the Shadow Man, are also not examined with any real depth for much the same reason. The game does have some fanservice for those interested in the furry men (and yes, Veeph is hot), but none of them feel like the main focus.
Indeed, the main focus seems entirely on you speaking to Beek himself, and the relationship that you develop with him. For this reason, I really hesitate to call Beek - Familiar Spirit a romance story, because it really isn't one. I do think this game is probably best experienced on a mobile device where the texting gimmick makes more sense, and the story is paced out.
Not my favorite story, as I can't help but to think that a traditional VN with Beek as the viewpoint character would have told this story better outside of the main climax, but I also can't say that it's a bad game. If you're patient and don't mind the slow pace of the text, it can still be an interesting read.
