The main love interest is tall, heavily-muscled, very intelligent, highly competent at his job, mysterious, and very handsome. This is pure wish-fulfillment, make no mistake, and I'm here for it.

This aside, Rain Check is an interesting mystery and romance VN. Mildly creepy vibes, but nothing too serious on that end. The mystery can be a bit hard to follow at times, since different events don't always have strong connective tissue to link them together. That said, I feel like the main pull of this VN is making you swoon when the wolf swears that he will protect you. This is not a complaint.
