BlueJayBeautie rated Hachienden

A downloadable game for Windows.

Really this is 4.5 as I have a few minor complaints but overall, this is a wonderful game with a fun premise and story that is decently translated though not perfect. Let me emphasize that this is a translation of the game not the actual original but since this is where I can talk about it in English as a monolinguist this is where I'm writing my spiel. I have 3 complaints, and I also found one or two lines completely untranslated, Rimming Moritane has an untranslated line and I think I found a couple others, but I can't remember where they are because they were not things I could easily replicate.
First complaint comes in the form of a system, yes you can transform you character but there are only 3 things that require it, one is the major story for one of the companions (love interests) and the other two is for erotic scenes in two locations. Outside of this it almost pointless as it has little effect on interactions or capabilities (understandable from a gameplay and coding standpoint (HELLO RPGM!!!)) but one of the biggest points that emphasizes this is that there is no protagonist avatar. You can get a description of your character but leaves a feeling of emptiness as far as system functionality.
Second complaint is combat related there are 4 types of damage in the game and the enemies have names and prompts relating to which damage will be most effective. The problem lies in deciphering this and at times I swear inconsistency. Two of the same enemies have the same prompt but weaknesses don't always match. Ultimately it isn't that important as this is not a difficult game by any means with only 2 areas of challenging enemies. If you start with the points to use a skill, use the one you think is suitable. If it doesn't work most of the time you will have done enough damage to just basic attack and finish the fight.
Third complaint is gameplay around the settlements. This is the simplest as I just wish you had a way to keep track of the improvements you have made and can make. The only way to see this is in the form of massive text blocks when receiving reports and going into suggestions which when you cancel any option kicks you to the beginning of the selection to make a suggestion.
So I have raged on this game enough. As I said I actually really like this game. The story is actually really well told even if it isn't particularly deep. There are a lot of things that are explained well with the true ending. I will admit there may be a bit of favoritism as I am a huge sucker for corruption gameplay (turning the world erotic in this case). 100% this game (or at least something close to that as it doesn't have a checklist in any form) is incredibly satisfying. I once again reiterate that this is merely a translation of the original game so my complaints likely won't have any action taken on them. Thank you Tsukumon for making this sexy fun time of a game available to English speakers, monolinguist or otherwise.
Oh and this game is absolutely worth the $20 dollar price tag.
