This had one of the best introductions I've ever played. I didn't play the first one, but by the end of the beach scene and the conversation with the monarch there are so many fascinating dangling hooks it immediately drew me into find out more, especially with how divergent the attitude of the queen's last visitor (I am trying not to spoil, even if it is almost the first thing that happens... I don't know what a spoiler even is for returning players) and the possibility of setting up quite different motivations and dynamics with the heir.
Unfortunately, after playing more I was disappointed in how little some choices that seemed impactful actually mattered. There were a few key decision points and not much else.
There were choices, though, and they did matter, and the setting and writing still drew me to play to the end. A great experience overall. Thanks for sharing!
