It was an enjoyable read, with a combination of horror and romance, I was compelled from the very start! With cute art and a creepy atmosphere, you read through Luana's realistic struggle with surviving and getting out of the house with Waite and Rowan.
With the interesting premise and amazing prologue, I was hoping for a visual novel that would have me at the edge of my seat WHILE swooning but what I came out with is a sort of disappointed flat birthday cake with candlesticks that were already blown out. I had high hopes and I supposed the lackluster endings with little to no resolve on what was going on with this house or rather just the Aunt made me feel upset at the prospect of something that could've been so much more. There were so many loose ends that conflicted with how happy I felt for Luana's afterstory like what's up with Luana and her family? Why is Waite's aunt this weird blood contractor? Why did she turn her house into a gateway to the spirit world? What is Rowan exactly and will we be able to see the actual Rowan...? Has Waite always been that violent, has he always had the urge to kill? I feel so uneasy with nothing to nibble at for these questions. I also felt like the romance was a little squashed in (mostly Rowan, Waite I can understand in some sense!) but that's nothing too negative given the fact that the game was quite short! ^_^
However disregarding all of that, I enjoyed the sprites moving around, interacting with each other, along with the fact that they can blink! I enjoy a little visual novel that lets their characters blink, haha! I also enjoyed their personalities and how the dialogue was written, they were talking to each other as if they were having a real conversation and I know it sounds silly that I'm appreciating that but it's something you find yourself longing for after reading other vn's that don't know how to let characters properly talk to each other without all of that robotic exposition.
Anyway, I had fun even with all of the unanswered questions, it was an interesting game!
