Dude, I love how the simplest games are often the most addictive. This is so fun, and quite absorbing despite its simplicity.
I've always liked action games where you get to use your reflexes and skill to dodge, instead of just spamming the attack button and hoping the enemy does less damage than you, and this game is basically just dodging. Simple, fast-paced, and strangely addictive.
The attack patterns are pretty varied, and the way you can just jump in when you're in the mood is perfect to blow off some steam and kill some time in between tasks and stuff. It also helps that the game keeps track of your high score, so you can see how much you're improving in the long run.
Some attack patterns take quite some time to get the hang of, and it's quite satisfying to finally be able to get through an attack pattern unscathed that you were normally damaged by.
There are problems, however, and they're gonna be game breakers for some people (not for me). Firstly, there is a huge luck factor, because if you keep getting easy attacks over and over, you can rack up points much more consistently than if you get killed quickly due to rolling a snake-eyes and getting that effing fountain attack for the umpteenth time in a row.
Second, once you know all attacks, the game is kinda just... over. Very little else to do in it past that point. This lack of content is not a big deal for me, but it might be for some.
All in all, though, this game got me addicted, and I'm gonna go play some more of it.
