Endhall is a tiny turn-based tactical rogue-like with fun skill
mechanics, cute pixel art, and a surprisingly great soundtrack.
Unfortunately, despite being a rogue-like, there's little incentive to
go back and play again after your first half-hour run, as there's only
one boss, one ending, a minimal amount of upgrades, no run records or
achievements, and no extra modes or difficulty options, which really
would have helped because the default is just too easy. Even just having
the capability to lower your maxmimum HP or moves would have given this
game a lot more longevity than its current state.
I'm going to
lean toward giving this a thumbs up, because it's cheap and the base
game design is quality, but considering the scarcity of content on offer
here if you can get any other well-received roguelike on sale for the
same price I'd recommend you spend your money on that instead.
