GamerNoob rated Death Moon

GamerNoob rated a Visual novel 1 year ago
A browser Visual novel made in HTML5.

This game is a great dark visual novel in my eyes. The main reason is the music and the art used really allows for an immersive experience. The main drawback for me when playing this game comes down to 2 reasons that as a visual novel enjoyer really makes and breaks the games, at least for me. Please take note i am putting this review after a good 3 hours of playing so there could be things i have yet to get to and just wanted to let others as well as the developer since i would like to see this game thrive as i see potential in it so i will try to be as informative as i can.

1. There is no "skip" button, or at least its not indicated and i have not managed to find one. This made replaying the game very tiring even though i really enjoy the story, after many times of having to spam my key or click to advance text, it does make me lose interest. This also leads to me not wanting to do multiple choices to get the other potential endings as this game promotes itself as an adapt to your choice.

2.There is only what appears to be 1 save file for the entire story. this also limits the amount of times I and potential players are willing to replay the game since once again, choices matter as the game promotes meaning there are different scenes, variable outcomes and multiple playthroughs.  However at times the game seems to save on its own. While i do see there is a autosave mechanic in the settings for the game, I made sure various times it was off and it would still save in scenarios I knew i did not save at, locking me at a point i did not want to be at forcing me to return to the very beginning as a new game just to see the other path.

Thats all i have to say about this game. Sure there will be complaints that there are not enough lewds in the game and i will have to agree on that matter, but when it comes to being a game, i believe there is great potential with some more fixes and it does have a intriguing story that i would gladly recommend people to give it a try. Should those 2 main issues is brought up get a fix then i would glady give the game a 5 star review, time is not exactly on anyones side and that is why to me having a skip text button or multiple save files would really allow for the game to be fully explored and enjoyed to its fullest. The game itself aside form this is amazing and deserves to be given a chance and i hope other people see that as well. While i am giving this game a 4 star review i would like the developer to know that personally i give this game a 5 star review and a 10/10 <3
