LRock36 rated Witch Hunter [Full]

LRock36 rated a game 2 years ago
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android.

The game's story & art is rather well done and some of the mini games are fun. I would like some sort of upgrades for the shop so I don't have to do so much to get money, but that's not my main issue.

The game needs to be finished first before I could really raise it to 4 stars (which I'm sure will happen), but there are problems I see with the main story that take away that 5th star for me. Some events can happen before others i.e. Cornelia being captured and yet I still see her at the school when Cedric becomes club advisor. I also don't agree with the choices Cedric makes throughout the story. I don't know much about the actual series, but if you are trying to be sneaky and get into all these girls' pants, wouldn't it be a good idea not to piss them off? Like Elyon's boyfriend in the beginning, he is being overly aggressive, so Cedric captures him and causes more problems for himself. Why not use that aggressiveness to get Elyon to stand up for you and turn against her boyfriend? Cedric did just that with Susan's husband: he used his gambling addiction instead of fighting him. I would love more choices like that. Make the characters fall in love with you, not force them into submission the minute things change. Cedric certainly messed up with Cornelia in my opinion because she kept coming onto him and kissed him (so she was in love), and he could have killed the rebel leader, but instead he gambles everything and forces her into a bond.

I think that this game just needs more choices for the story. I would absolutely love to play a more cunning and covert Cedric who doesn't just fight the men in his way, but rather uses crafty tactics to get others to remove them for him.

I'll definitely change my review once the game is completed as I'm sure it'll be great, but it definitely needs more choices for me to consider this a 5-star game. Great job on the art and everything else though, the game does look rather good and promising!
