This game has some beautiful art, and the story is very engaging. Helix route is the longest and offers a complete story, so I'm glad I did it last.
Alfa/Beta stuff is really juvenile though, like it was written by a teenage girl. In this respect, Zheng's story was the best because it stepped away from this annoying concept.
The protagonist has his own personality and experience, which is great. I only wish his main conflict didn't revolve around him being "straight". It was a bit boring to read him harp on and on about this. The explanation he gave for his feelings wasn't interesting either. At least, there was more story action with Helix, so the gay panicking was spread out and wasn't as whiny. However, there was this juvenile Beta/alfa angle instead. I wish the writing were more mature... Without these two things, the game would have been perfect.
