I am the kind of person who generally is really awful at shooters no matter how fun they are I only beaten a few arcade ones thanks to unlimited continues and rewinds. Zero Ranger having a level select and a normal mode that rewards you with more credits the more you play motivated me enough to keep trying and keep going. Right now I'm struggling against the final boss but I can say with 100% certainty that this game is absolutely incredible! It's fast as hell, you have a lot of weapons to mix and match to find your perfect setup, even the different ships have slights differences in weapons. The game is chuck full of fun references and it can be brutal but never I felt it was unfair. The main reason I can't beat it right now is because nerves get the best of me and can't keep calm enough the dodge everything the game throws at me in the final section, even with 8 credits. but seriously if you're into shooters and have not given this game a try.
