You've come so far ever since the first demo. I can clearly see so much effort (and money) you had pour into the newest demo with all that stunning bgs, voice acting and ui (maybe the programming too with all that fancy little effect?). Etza's voice is such a nice surprise when they switch between masculine and feminine voice.
Still, because of overly high quality of those assets make the sprite look.. not okay? By all mean, it's not bad, but since the character design isn't much detail and the coloring didn't match with the bg either make them feel out of it when put in the too-detailed BGs and too-sparkling UI. Personally, I think the monochrome/single color BG will be a better match for your art style (it would make your sprite stand out more). But I can understand why you want detail bgs for this game - to bring out the beauty of Alaris's fantasy world. So perhaps next project then?
I can't wait to get it on Steam once it release. Well, I'm looking at you Kuna'a, even though your voice make me feel tired.
