I have played Cenric's route in full so far and this game is really good. The CG art is great. The story's premise is fun and all the characters are likable. I will say that initially I was hesitant on whether I'd like either guy because I basically usually don't like the strict stereotypes. Cenric pleasantly wasn't really as "himbo" as I thought he might be, which personally I appreciated. Although I would have preferred him to not be a himbo at all to be honest--I like really intelligent characters though. However, I don't like extremely serious characters. (So you can see my dilemma--I like playful, intelligent characters)
Cenric wasn't too himbo to be unlikable so I am rating the game highly for the art and being successful in making even a reader who doesn't enjoy the strict stereotypes able to like the characters.
The things I wish were in the Cenric route is basically more angst and closer ties between the female protagonist and Cenric.
SPOILER
I would have really preferred for Cenric's reason for losing passion in cooking to be directly tied to the female protagonist. And truthfully, when he revealed that he lost his passion after being employed to work for her family--I automatically thought it was going to be related to how the female protagonist when she was a villain always dissed the food. I was let down quite a bit when I learned that the reason he lost passion had no relation to her whatsoever. I thought it would have tied so nicely to her storyline and their love story if she had been a big part of him becoming sad that no one appreciated his food anymore. Which then she would obviously change.
Overall, while Cenric's route was cute, it just seemed to me to lack deep emotional ties between the two characters. Namely, two ways I was hoping to see ties between the female lead and Cenric was 1) Cenric being sad that the female lead was marrying someone else and 2) The female lead changing his opinion of her.
And while I could see there was some of that in the route--it wasn't focused on very much. I guess you could say the route was too smooth sailing. Needed just a teeny tiny bit more conflict to be perfect--not a lot, but a little bit more.
However, again this game is good and hope lots of people play. It's a very pleasant game to play.
