My review and wishes:
Love the character sprite!
It is nice that there is an option to hide your portrait, I need it off since it gets in the way, and pressing shift is better for when I want to look at it.
Would be very cool to be able to look at the crafting item visually, before crafting it, to see how it looks like and have the option to wear vanity outfit slot, so instead of wearing armor for defense, you can wear however you want on the outside, without effecting your stats as well.
On the demo you would be able to walk around on expedition, but only until night fall, and then the game teleports you back to your camp, I would like the option to actually be able to explore the area at night as well. for visual and adventure. Instead of tp back to home base, you guys could just add more tougher enemies at nights for player to run/fight against.
Would be nice to know where you are when you are at expedition, so having a map of sorts, even through the changing terrains would be nice, so the players can find their way back, or see if there are any areas ones have missed.
I have gone through the "post expedition summary" a lot of times, and gets pretty boring to go through over again, even if you go back without any progress, you still have to watch it, so would be nice if there was a "skip" option for "post expedition summary".
One thing you guys could change, is it would be nice if the enemies would stop attacking after a while, or when you are a bit further away, since they keep doing it, and they will not stop and it gets bothersome to watch them attack continuously with hearing the projectile sound effect many times again.
A great thing to add is instead of having to pick the items you need from your chest to craft from utility, you could give us access to all the materials from our chest when crafting in camp, that way we do not need to go back and fourth.
Would be nice if the enemies could not shoot projectiles through walls, or from higher ground, since it makes it a bigger hassle to dodge them, when they are literally firing from higher ground, and through walls.
Would also be more fun if the enemies had better movement to walk towards me, most of them stop at the wall on the other side of me, so I do not get easily chased.
Please add an option to "add all materials" to the chest.
The game did not explain whenever if you wear armor, it will be removed when you get game over, or is it just for those that are not equipped? If so would be nice to be able to craft a chest specifically for armor.
Nice thing to add is a tutorial manual we players could look through many times again, so that in case we forget the rules, we can look at it again, instead of touching those "blue shiny firefly" to read the tutorial.
Could you make the enemies stop walking/attacking while obtaining or reading dialogue, since I cannot start reading what I can obtain or have obtained, since they come rushing towards me, so I have to skip/press fast so I can run away from them.
Would be nice if the terrains does not change so much on some of the areas, on the same expedition, rather add more expedition add give those new terrains, then instead of having always a change of scenario when going to the same expedition, makes me confused at to where I am, if it is a little bit on only one specific area on the expedition, then it is fine, but multiple makes it more confusing and a bit messy.
This was mostly what I thought would make this game better, and I see a lot of potential ,surely cause its you guys who also made "Grove Dark Places", so continue your good work with editing and hopefully knowing that any game can be great if the story is great, good luck and take your time.
