A simple story of solace and healing. The prose is both efficient and effective, and the narrator's voice adds to the simple charm of it all, like a caring father telling you a bed time story. I'm not a fan of the story employing a seemingly omniscient narrator: it doesn't bring much to table and only serves to distance us from the characters. I think a more limited point of view centered on Thorn would have saved his character from disappearing for most of the story, while one centered on Sekyr would have helped to explore more of his inner turmoil.
Speaking of which, the VN does an excellent job at selling its moments of comfort, especially through its visuals (the whole scene at the enchanter's workshop is great!). However, I do think the story would have benefited from exploring a bit more what the characters need comfort for: we don't get a whole lot of information on that front, only some scarce hints. For the most part, we are left dealing with the emotional aftermath of a past we know nothing about. There is also a moment where the story briefly gets distracted by its own worldbuilding and spends a bit too long on a dialogue filled with technobabble.
Unfortunately the narration and the story is sometimes drowned by the bombastic and often out-of-place music, especially at the very beginning (the first few seconds of the game sure are an acoustic experience!).
Overall, I think the dev proved himself in the writing and visual departments, and I'm eager to read his next work.
