I ended up reading this as apart of a book club.

This VN is, altogether, a good experience and a decent recommendation for a horror VN. I think it captures the gothic horror vibe it's looking for and creates something that people can and have discussed. 

I also enjoy the minimalistic vibes of the art direction and it makes use of the medium to create some cinematic transitions and scenes.

The beginning is a bit rough, prose wise, but it evens out once you get past the beginning. I did attempt to read this before and dnf-ed because of that, but powered through for the book club.
