I played two rounds, both with some different layouts. I think this game could do with a bit more detailed rooms. The idea of a Arcade-y Third person shooter is an interesting concept I wish I saw more of. I know the inevitable for this game is a story mode, however I hope they expand the arcade mode as well.
My biggest issue with the game is definitely the movement. This game has some weird jank with the Tactical Roll, which I thought was a weird inclusion at first, but it grew on me. If you roll while reloading, your character will do this weird motion, where it looks like you are getting the i-frames, however you don't perform the action, until the reload is finished and you do another roll? It's a strange quirk. I understand the idea of not being able to roll while reloading, it makes total sense to me. If this is intended it needs work for sure. I'm also not a big fan of some of the art direction. The monsters look goofy in a bad way. I think the giant weapons they're holding is a bit ridiculous, and the Sci-fi element they're going for kinda falls flat on its face, in my opinion. Also I dislike the continued walking after letting go of W, I think it goes on for too long. I relate this movement style to those REmakes of RE2 and RE3, which I enjoy, however those games make the animations more fluid and they stop at a more appropriate time.
Everything else about this game is very promising
(after writing this review I realized this game has been cancelled. It's a shame, I think a Arcade-y TPS would be awesome and it would have some backers)
