Unlike Lily's Well, Lost Cartridge: Cold Read is more difficult for people to get into. It's a solid game where you explore a haunted library, avoid monsters and death traps, and figure out puzzles to unlock new areas/items to progress.  There's nothing wrong with this format; it plays just like a classical RPGmaker horror game.

I suppose it's not as popular as Lily's Well because it's not as quick and easy and you're done with it. Lost Cartridge: Cold Read also contains instant-death gameovers that are obvious schmuck bait but it doesn't make that its entire identity. To really enjoy this game you have to care about the protag, his backstory, his struggles, and take the time to savor them.

I, for one, love Mitch and can't get enough from learning more about his past and his interests.
