A visual novel that is tied strictly to its single idea and the exploration of the two characters, but is well-focused enough to not step past its bounds and litter itself with extraneous details. There is a limited amount of art but all of it is of good quality, and while the writing and dialgoue occasionally threw me out of the story, there was more than enough charm to keep me going. If you're happy with something that eschews deep world-building and complex plot ideas for a dedicated focus on two people, and you don't mind that the three possible paths are more or less sign-posted by the dialogue choices, there's a lot to love here. Roughly an hour in length for a play, "Forsaken" pulls through and pushes past its weaknesses by doubling down on its two main stars.
