One of the best puzzle games in quite a while, Parabox takes a well-tested idea and runs it in all sorts of mind-bending directions. The key to it working at all, and working as well as it does, is that it never forgets it is a game. Never once did I truly feel it was unfair - ideas are introduced at a comfortable pace, multiple puzzles are usually available, and very rarely if ever does it deliver something that feels entirely unfathomable. All of this without any text but the odd level name. At roughly 30-40 hours for myself, the game also didn't outstay its welcome. Demanding, yet enjoyable; simple, yet fascinating - for something billed as a 'puzzle', this game ticks all the right boxes for me.
