I played this for 22 minutes which was enough time to realise this wasn't for me. During this time loud noises and flashing imagery made me jump a few times. Sinister music added superficial tension but there was no building suspense, no engaging narrative and no new ideas on display. I guess it's some kind of P.T. homage.

It looks nice enough, but is filled with a whole lot of nothing. I ran towards every hallucinatory entity and found the whole thing to be a bit like being in a ghost house. Not all that frightening once you see all the inner workings.

Maybe younger people and streamers who find jump scares to be a legitimate form of horror might find something to enjoy here, but to cynical and tired old gamers you are best to leave well alone.

Having said all that, I will probably keep an eye out for the full game, and I will likely try another of the developer's games as they are quite prolific on itch.io.
