As someone who lacks the imagination required to immerse oneself deeply into these types of self-insert dating sim VNs, CC doesn't land for me in the way I expected it to. But it's a remarkable amateur project that is certain to appeal to its niche audience of cryptid-loving VN players and then some. The presentation is simple and some background choices can seem a bit questionable when set against the more cartoonish-looking characters, but this urban slice-of-life romantasy is uniquely charming and cozy, feeling akin to a casual hangout with some dorky friends.
