Nearly a decade after I first played it, I still find myself coming back to The Writer Will Do Something on a regular basis. It stands as a great demonstration of how a totally linear game can still feature natural, meaningful interaction that influences the result, all while telling a story that hammers home how hard it's always been to actually make a game like that. I also get a kick out of the unseen manager who hates Dark Souls with a burning passion – I've never played a Souls game in my life, so I feel like I could've gotten along with him (or at least pretended to for ten minutes a year to get a bigger raise.)
