This is one of the most amazing games I have played in years.  I cannot say enough good things about it.  I have been recommending this game to everyone I can, and I will continue to do so.

The play style, that of selecting different options to seek out every possible ending, isn't new, but Bad End Theatre brings the mechanic as near to perfection as I've yet to see.  Though the game certainly lives up to its name, all the bad endings fit the setting, plot, and characters and never feel forced.

The way the characters initially live out their generic roles and then can make choices in an effort to change them up ("defy fate", so to speak) was an insightful and thought-provoking exploration of the question of free will versus determinism.  I ended up lying awake a few times after playing this, pondering the themes this game explores, and having some very difficult conversations with myself.
