Like an adventure module, this supplement gives a Light GM more things to run at the table. The big difference, however, is that this material is presented as a series of (mostly) independent vignettes that the PCs discover organically as they explore the area. The whole thing strikes me as a more modern take on the classic hexcrawl concept. The play style offered by this book works hand-in-hand with the core Light game and can serve as a breather between the more intense missions of the Control campaign. They aren't just filler either - the tangible rewards for Patrols can be used with the main game. Personally, I wish every RPG supplement was this good.
