MY GODDDD this is SUCH a beautiful game! If I could, I'd give it more than 5 stars!

I immediately wanted to play this after playing Mamiya (a VN by the same developer, Kenkou Land) because I loved Mamiya. Lemures Blue's 2 A.M. definitely does NOT dissappoint. The art, the choice of music, the writing, the pacing, and the characters; I simply just loved all of it! This is becoming one of my favorite VNs for sure! 

The story seems simple at first glance, but the deeper you go, the deeper the story gets. It touches on heavy topics like death, losses, and regret in a really good way while still also managed to have fun, light-hearted moments. I really feel for all of the characters, and I just want the best for all of them. Admittedly, I cried twice. The creator did such a fantastic job with its writing and drawing up expressive CGs to accompany its narration. This game also has a lot of plot twists, like I swear. It catches me off guard a lot of times. The majority of the plot twists are also able to enhance the story as a whole, and not just there as a cheap shock value. 

This is a BL VN, but it focuses a lot more on the character growth rather than its romance. You choose a route not to romance the characters, but to get to know them, their struggles, and how they will overcome it. I do like that format better for this game. However, when the romance does happen, it's really sweet and wholesome for the most part. I was getting worried for the last few chapters, as I was worried that they were going to pull a trope that I really dislike, but I'm glad they didn't. It would've ruined it for me otherwise.

All in all, I highly recommend this! Just high quality all around. I'd erase my memories if I could experience this all over again, no joke.
