Highenalirs rated When Twilight Strikes

A browser game made in HTML5.

Concept is interesting, execution is pretty bad. Character interactions and what they generally say, do not come over as realistic. Of course, I understand that written speech and actual speech will differ, but that is not what the issue is here. It has been a while, so I do not quite remember the details of my issues with the writing.

But I do remember that there were many moments where I thought "No one talks like that." Or interactions between the MC and other characters that were lacklustre and uninteresting.

I do not want to make assumptions on how much the writer reads, however from my perspective, it does not appear as if they read a lot.  I think reading a diverse range of books, and actively looking at how those writers write their dialogue and interactions, would greatly benefit them.

I will check back later (probably in a year or two), reread it and update the rating and review accordingly. But for now, I will have to give it 1 star.
