It's the perfect blend of parody, extrapolation, and heart.  The premise is imaginative, and the game really delivers on its promise of an adorable-yet-poignant story in a twisted reality that is fully capable of pulling the rug out from under you.  I'm not convinced the procedural generation is doing it any favors though; the dungeons ARE different every time, but that also means they aren't especially crafted or clever.
