Illustrious rated Don't Take It Personally, I Just Don't Like You

A downloadable game for Windows.

I played the demo in 2021 so I was excited to see a...partial full release.  I even did a replay of the demo to refresh myself on the characters.

Overall?  Quite good.  Very stylish even now and the music is still nice and relaxing (except when it's not meant to be).  There were a few typos and a missing scene transition but nothing too jarring.  Except the missing transition that was a bit jarring.  Also there was a bit of weirdness when my old demo saves appeared in the main game.

Sarah was very sweet and added a little bitter flavor to seeing how happy she and Todd were.  Not much else to say about it.  A simple route with someone aggressively likable.

I liked Maria but her story was a bit of a struggle for me.  It felt a bit dull, though perhaps that's what being a friend is sometimes. It also wrapped up really quickly. I'm not the one to really comment on the meat of Maria's story but the self-aggrandizement while also being disrespectful and cruel seemed accurate.

Rose's story line was very engrossing.  The VCR effects worked very nicely (the first rewind caught me by surprise and it worked better and better as the story went on).

Speaking of the demo, I was surprised at how little Anne and Dale appeared.  I think I was hoping for more character interactions. But I suppose the pretty limited time frame makes that difficult.  I'm also pretty sad about demo Rose because I have to second guess everything there.

Just want to repeat that it's a good work and I'm looking forward to more content.
